Wow. So, it's been a long time since I've done icons. But I was bored out of my mind and M said I should watch Barbie Fairytopia for inspiration. *grin* I made it about ten minutes through the movie before I started taking screencaps. ^^;; Mermadia is next.
As I was cropping and editing my screencaps, I realized I had a bunch of other ones I'd taken off and on and never posted. So, I'm posing them all now. Aren't you lucky? ^.~
If you like any of them and would like specific words, lemmie know. Some of those Barbie ones practically scream for captions. (Like that one I'm dubbing 'Interspecies Love') ^^;

Gay Barbie

So, Mikey bought me the third Barbie Fairytopia DVD. >.> It is, believe it or not, more blatantly gay than the first two. Which I hadn't thought possible. The title? Magic of the Rainbow. >.> Yeah, start laughing.
To start off, there's a lot more touchy-feely hugging in this one. Barbie makes eyes at a good four women, or has them make eyes at her. She actually meets a *gasp* male fairy, but instead of snagging her 'prince' like in all the other Barbie movies, they just do the friends thing as emphasized by one of the lines in their duet song on the bonus CD: "I can see, we're gonna be good friends." There's also a song where she's singing with an older female fairy with lines like "There's a rainbow in your eyes, There's a light in your face" and "I thought I would never find you." >.> Is that clear enough?
Then, ah, we meet two more boy fairies. One has a narcissus-complex (he kisses his mirror during his intro scene and makes eyes at himself constantly) and he's purple. >.> Yeah. Then there's the other guy with a voice so gay that can't have been an accident. And, of course, Elina-Barbie hugs more girls. No guys, just girls. She even gets snugged by the bad fairy!
I've screencapped and made icons for about halfway through the film. Laughing too hard to continue tonight. Enjoy the gay faeries and femmeslash. ^^

Castlevania
Sep. 11th, 2006 05:49 pmEheheh... ^^ Castlevania eats my soul. Specifically Curse of Darkness at the moment, though I've replayed Symphony and Lament both lately. >.>; Oh, and Aria. *cough*
But really, you can't blame me for getting sidetracked when they put such beautiful yumminess in there in the form of side-character-slash-unlockable ( Trevor Belmont, ) Can you? ^^;
I also ripped the cutscenes with him in them and re-encoded them into Matroska format so I could keep the dual audio. *geek* Those are a bit big to post (8 - 50 MB) but if anyone would like a copy I'm sure I can arrange it. *.* The Trevor love needs to be shared.
And, finally, me being me... ( I made icons. ) From Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, Curse of Darkness, Harmony of Dissonance, and Lament of Innocence. (Basically, the ones with the Ayami Kojima artwork) ^^v

Cardcaptor Sakura Icon Spam!

I am the only person I know who will play an entire game, in Japanese, being only about 15% fluent, for the sole purpose of collecting screencaps for icons. ^^v

ARRGH! *bashes head against wall* Okay, for some unknown reason they're not displaying. But they display just freaking fine on my website. *twitchie* So, until LJ resolves its stupid issues, pretty icons will have to be viewed at DarkKingdom.Com :P

Heh. I blame my disappearing act upon comic books. *sheepish* I accidentally rekindled an old love affair I had going on with them when I was little, and... yeah. ^^;;
I did get quite a few icons out of the deal, though. 9.9 Some Superman, X-Men, Batman & Captain Marvel, and the culprit that started the mess, the old Malibu Comics UltraVerse. ^^v (Anyone else besides me remember that one? Anyone? *hopehope*)
Also fell real hard into Batman/Superman slash. >.> Sadly, it's really hard to find good stories of that pairing that manage to keep the boys relatively in-character. x.x Usually the one they f*ck up is Clark... 9.9 which is odd, because I figure it's Bruce I'd have the most trouble with. *ponder*
Ooh yeah. ^^ I also scanned in some Crazy 70s crack courtesy of the old World's Finest comics, including an entire issue called "World Without Men." *snicker* It's just as bad as it sounds. ^_________________^
