Have names for four of my five MCs. Can't make up my mind on this one. Thoughts?

[Poll #1557061]

Now to go back to making notes I'll probably never have any need to reference. :3

Edit:
Note to self, did you learn nothing from the Hawaiian name nightmare? Gaelic is not an improvement! Yes, I know there's precedent, but still! Do you have any idea how many times you're going to misspell that? >_

I'm still way in the planning stages. ^^; For some reason I feel the need to figure out their backgrounds before I figure out the actual, y'know, story plot. >.>;

It'll be a while. ^^; Have backgrounds for two of five characters and only vague story-ish concepts jotted down.

No problem. I'm all set to wait for a while. Besides, the best stories take time. ^-^

Heh. If I said, it'd probably give away what I'm working on. ^^;

I'd misread Orga as Orca every time... and think of killer whales and the colors black and white as a result. That could be an interesting association to play with, but if you don't want it I'd go with Orcroi instead. :D

*laugh* He's blond. Very very blond. So we'd better stick with Orcroi. ^^;;

I'm not sure whether to go with the one I can pronounce (Orga) or the one that looks prettier (Orcroi, that extra R'll mess me up every time). Therefore, I chose option "other". :3

Man, you're hopeless.

I went with the one that looked pretty :3

And this is how you end up with two MC names that start with the same letter. ;)

I picked Orga because it is easy to spell. But the Orca comment is true enough, unfortunately. I keep landing myself with long complicated names that drive me mad, even if they do sound good the first couple of times.

I'm not at all worried about spelling Orcroi. One of the other characters is named Saoirag. x_@;;

I hope you're going to include a pronunciation guide - Gaelic is one of the most confusing languages.

There's a pronunciation guide in my journal. It's the second sticky post.

Not that I'll likely be pronouncing them in the official Gaelic way. I tend to lift words and appropriate them for my own use.

I'm not sure where this Orca is coming from, I keep seeing and reading Okra. Maybe it is a sign I should pull out the cornmeal...

Re: to the edit

Yes, yes, Gaelic is horrible. For instance, my name goes from something that you can sorta guess pronunciation of--Casey McCann to Cathasaigh MacCanna. (With more or less the same pronunciation ... since the spelling of my name is basically just Anglicized).

... it's truly geeky that I know how to spell my name in Gaelic.
