My place of employment gets brownie points today.

Yesterday my contacts were driving me crazy all day long, so I took them out as soon as I got home. This morning I elected to wear my despised glasses for the first time in public, and only a few people even mentioned them. And none of the comments were negative. (Mostly just bewildered, because I've worked there a year and nobody realised I wore contacts.)

My boss gets bonus brownie points, because he actually told me they looked nice. ^__^ Makes me not feel quite so blah when wearing them. Though I always feel kind of strange because they're kids' glasses. All the adult ones were too big. >.>

The worst downsides to wearing the glasses now that Rickm fixed the alignment issue with them, is that they screw up my depth-perception something terrible (so driving the forklift today was interesting, for sure) and I can't wear my sunglasses with them and I'm light-sensitive so the drive home was... somewhat painful. x.x Still, my eyes feel much better than they did yesterday. And I have tomorrow off, so hopefully they'll be all rested up by the time I have to go back to work on Wednesday.

I also stopped by the post office on the way home today and picked up stamps - both the forever kind and the overseas kind. ^___^ So as soon as I can get stuff scanned I can send out postcards. Also owe letters to silrini and the_doro, and since nothing needs scanning there I can send those out as soon as I write them. ^^;;

Hmm, maybe I'll draw a chibi or something... 9.9

Oh hey, speaking of the post office, I sent you out your package today, but since you live aaaaaaall the way over on the west coast, I had to go parcel. ^_^;; So, next week it'll be there? (Eep! Sorry it's so late. Time is not my friend.)

Heh. Gotta love the USPS trying to go cross-country. It's really sad when stuff sent overseas gets there faster than stuff sent to the other side of your own country. -__-; (Psh, late is of no consequence. I'm sure it will be lovely. <3)

I highly recommend prescription sunglasses. I couldn't get by without mine, especially in summer.

Heh. Glasses are all I've ever worn. Although I admit that they are not the most convenient thing when going camping, since I put mine on the floor of the tent when I was taking a nap and apparently rolled on them, thus screwing them up royally. -__-' Grr. It was not fun. *is wearing spare glasses now* I should get contacts just to see if they're any better...

I've worn contacts since the 8th grade. I only own glasses for backup. ^^;
