Bangkok Vacation
A burgundy and black shadow slipped cautiously down a short hallway, ducking into a small room and waiting for a moment before proceeding further. Up a lift, around a corner, and stopping short at the sight of two rather upset security officers glaring.
Jei promptly checked his wrist chrono and crowed gleefully, activating the transmitter in his ear. "Sixteen minutes, forty-two seconds! Pay up, all of you!"
The two officers blinked at him as they approached, even as a chorus of voices moaned and complained in his ear.
"Aww, I was sure he'd get caught right off the bat."
"Fifty points I could have won. Fifty points!"
"You're not bluffing, right? You really climbed Black Dragon Tower? What level did you make it to before they busted you?"
"Uhh..." Jei peered at the two guards who were trying unsuccessfully to grab his arms and being repelled by his telekinesis. "Hey, you two know what floor this is? I lost count about five minutes ago..."
"I really hope you're not about to cause an Incident, Jei."
Jei froze and paled. "Uh, Sigma. Didn't know you were listening... Um..."
There was a moment of dead silence as no one dared speak up now that their little illegal betting stunt had been busted. Finally Jei cleared his throat nervously. "Um, Sigma, I'd appreciate if you didn't tell Ekaitz about this..."
"That depends on whether or not I'm going to have to do damage control. Apologize to security and get back down here so I can hit you."
Smiling wanly, Jei bowed to the two increasingly irate security officers. "Okay, I guess I just got ordered to leave so I can get my ass kicked. You guys want to show me the way out?"
Sighing quietly, Sigma finished his formal apology to Bangkok's Warden - he really hoped the man didn't remember him - and massaged his temples. So much for a peaceful vacation. An arm slid around his waist and he smiled faintly even as Tau Ceti smirked.
"I bet I could get further than Jei did," he announced calmly.
"Don't you dare," Sigma retorted. "I don't want to have to apologize to the Lords of Bangkok in person."
Tau grinned. "You'd only have to apologize if I got caught. Or Ekaitz would. Hmm." He considered. "Maybe I should just for that reason..."
"I knew this was a bad idea..." Sigma shook his head. "What was Kavalerov thinking?"
"I bribed him," Tau stated cheerfully. "And Bangkok is the perfect place to test a few things."
A sinking feeling settling in his stomach, Sigma glanced at his lover. "A few things?" he asked, already knowing he wasn't going to like the answer he got.
Tau Ceti smirked and jerked a thumb skyward. They both looked up, Sigma groaning quietly at the sight of three small hoversleds zooming in and out around buildings in what could only be a wild, unrestricted race.
"You didn't."
"I did. Did you know the spectators are starting to place bets on them?" he asked.
Sigma sighed. "I wish I could say that surprises me, but it really doesn't." He glanced around. "Where are we going, anyway?"
Tau's smirk widened. "Red Dragon Pavilion. There's a tournament starting shortly." His eyes gleamed with devious mischief.
"You really get way too much out of watching me hurt people." Sigma rolled his eyes but continued on anyway. If nothing else, the sex after such an event was always fantastic.
"Pretty toys..." Meiki breathed, orange eyes fairly glowing in pleasure as he darted from one display to the next, followed by his highly bemused lovers. "Pretty pretty toys..." He lovingly caressed an impossibly large double-headed dildo and turned shining eyes up to Q'inn and Xalin. "How many do I get?"
The two considered, murmuring quietly amongst themselves for a moment, then Xalin stated surely, "Five."
"Five," Meiki repeated, looking around again swiftly at all the choices. "I can do five... Five..." He resumed wandering, murmuring softly to himself as he surveyed his choices.
"We really shouldn't be encouraging him," Xalin commented after a moment, his eyes still trained on the sunset-hued Draconis even as one arm rested snugly around Q'inn's waist and another on his shoulders.
"Nope," Q'inn agreed, tail twitching back and forth idly. "But he does manage to find some of the most fascinating things..."
"And it keeps him out of the candy stores," Xalin added thoughtfully, sharing a brief wince with the Hellcat. The last time anyone had made the mistake of setting Meiki loose in a candy store had been bad. In the end, Xalin had been forced to sedate him for all their sanities.
"I'm still blaming that incident on Tau Ceti," Q'inn grumbled. "We know better."
Xalin snorted softly. "I maintain he did it on purpose. See how many people would get traumatized before it wore off."
Q'inn rolled his eyes. "Sounds like the Gremlin," he agreed.
"So, what now?" Xalin asked, watching carefully as Meiki perused the bondage section. "Back to the ship, find a rental suite, or..." He swallowed as the Draconis held up a black leather slave costume against himself for size. "Or..."
Q'inn licked his lips, purring quietly. "I say we take our time wandering back, with him wearing that, and see how many offers we get on the way."
Xalin arched a brow. "Just with him wearing that?" the medic inquired.
Q'inn snorted. "If you think I can keep my hands to myself while he's all dressed up, you're dreaming."
Xalin laughed. "Oh good. So touching is permitted." He contemplated the little pile Meiki had accumulated, then smirked at Q'inn. "What do you think, vibrating beads?"
The Hellcat's eyes gleamed and he licked his lips again. "Oh yeah. He makes the most delicious sounds..."
"You realize one of us will have to carry him when his legs give out," Xalin pointed out, smiling wickedly.
"Fuck that," Q'inn snorted. "I say we do him right where he collapses."
Xalin contemplated, then shrugged cheerfully. "It is Bangkok. They'd probably tip us."
The biggest problem with competing publicly, Sigma had discovered, was sore losers. They'd caught him backstage in one of the lesser used hallways, all armed with hypersonic knives and sneering.
"Hey, prettyboy," the leader called, flipping his knife back and forth. "You lost us a fortune. That was a mistake."
Sigma shrugged, calmly sizing them all up. "You bet on the wrong fighter," he told them, noting the only two out of the bunch that actually seemed to know what they were doing.
"Fancy little tourist thinks he's tough shit," another sneered. "We'll show you."
Sigma smiled chillingly, an expression of the High Chancellor's that he'd been carefully studying until he could duplicate it relatively well. From the sudden shifting and nervous movements, he felt he was improving nicely. "Nine against one, hmm?"
The leader and two of his men started. Obviously they hadn't expected him to notice the two thugs sneaking up behind him. They exchanged a few tense moments of staring, then the man gestured and the fight began.
It wasn't the easiest fight he'd ever been in, but it was still a far cry from what he was really capable of. The advantage they had of being armed only lasted long enough for Sigma to relieve the two behind him of their weapons, breaking two arms and at least five ribs in the process, and a short time later the entire lot of them were unconscious or lying on the ground moaning weakly in pain.
He snorted quietly and fished his in-specs out of a pocket, linking up with the Ice Princess and alerting the proper authorities of the situation. That accomplished, he went methodically through pockets, locating a number of odd-looking keycards, more weaponry, enough point cards to convince him that most or all had to be stolen, and three small bags of what appeared to be crushed glass.
Sigma scowled. Soul traffickers. Just what he needed while they were on vacation. Stepping back and leaning up against a wall he activated his transmitter and gave Tau Ceti his coordinates. The Gremlin showed up a few minutes later, raising a brow at the unconscious bodies then glaring pointedly at him.
"I missed it," he complained.
In response, Sigma handed him the keycards and point cards. "If you can trace those, there may be another opportunity for you to watch," he commented idly.
Tau Ceti looked at the cards, then at the unconscious men, then back to Sigma again. "You're working. On our vacation." He scowled. "You're as bad as the Princess." He fingered the cards thoughtfully anyway, nodding slowly. "I need a terminal." Turning sharply, he strode off down the corridor leaving Sigma to follow bemusedly in his wake.
Three hours later found Sigma and Tau Ceti in one of the less reputable sections of Bangkok, contemplating what was, apparently, a rather sorry-looking parts and repair shop. The keycards had led them a merry chase all over Bangkok to various small holding facilities containing small amounts of Soul which had been remanded to the Bangkok authorities already. It had been a little harder to trace the point cards, but eventually those had led them here.
"Well?" Sigma asked, slipping off his in-specs and storing them in a pocket.
Tau Ceti considered. "Can I look over their merchandise before you decide to dislocate limbs?" he asked.
Sigma rolled his eyes. "You're spoiled."
The Gremlin smirked. "Of course I am." He yanked Sigma close for a hard kiss, then stalked off across the street and into the building. Sigma followed a pace behind, not at all impressed with the mess of parts and unidentifiable objects inside. His lover's workshop was messy, but at least it was an organized mess. This was just chaos.
In no time at all Tau had accosted the only man in sight and was rapidly talking parts and prices at a rate that Sigma didn't even try to keep up with. Instead he surveyed the shop, noting everything of interest, then going back to double-check on a few areas he wasn't overly certain on. These fellows weren't nearly as stupid as many they'd dealt with; most of their sloppiness seemed to be due to the fact that it appeared to be a relatively new operation.
Unfortunate that some of their goons had blown the whole thing by picking a fight with a vacationing Internal Affairs agent.
He rejoined Tau Ceti, who had gone from talking bargains to soundly berating the man for selling faulty parts, placing a hand on the Gremlin's shoulder. Tau broke off in mid-rant to blink at him, smirking a bit when Sigma nodded once.
"Why Mr. Flibble, I believe you've been holding out on me," he purred, ignoring the man's weary attempts at correcting the pronunciation of his name. "You have more merchandise than what you've shown..."
The man paled, eyes darting from Tau to Sigma who had pulled out his In-Specs and linked back up with the Ice Princess, then he glared. "What are you, Auths? You don't got any authority on Bangkok."
"Just concerned citizens," Sigma said calmly, In-Specs flashing as he sent off a message. "Do us a favor and cooperate. It'll make things much easier."
"Fuck you," he spat, yanking a stunner out from under his shirt and firing. His aim was better than his intelligence quotient, but he missed anyway as both Sigma and Tau Ceti had been expecting it. Tau dove out of the way and slipped around behind the counter while Sigma swiftly dealt with the unfortunate dealer. He'd just relieved the man of his stunner when there came a distinctive click and he spun to watch the trap door he'd noted earlier slide open.
Reinforcements. Wonderful.
He counted five, and these weren't nearly as pathetic as their predecessors. Mostly because instead of hypersonic knives, they had stunners, and judging from the damage being caused they weren't legal stunners by any stretch of the word. That made things tricky.
The amount of junk lying around waiting to trip the unwary didn't help either. Sigma had one of them down and was trying to keep the remaining four from flanking him when he noticed a brief glimpse of green. A moment later two of his opponents jerked violently and collapsed, revealing a very nonplussed Gremlin standing behind them. Laughing quietly, Sigma sent the final two off to dreamland. Though they should all probably see a medic first.
"I thought you liked watching me fight," he said as he straightened and relaxed his guard.
"I do." Tau scowled. "But I also don't want you to get hurt, and they weren't fighting fair."
"No," Sigma agreed, "They weren't." He paced over to the open trap door, peering down the later and whistling lowly. "Quite the setup they've got down there. The Warden won't be pleased."
Tau joined him, tail wrapping around Sigma's waist as he too peered down into the hidden room. "Warden?"
"Warden," a dry voice repeated, making them both turn quickly. "That would be me." The broad-featured, dark-skinned man standing just inside the doorway practically radiated authority... and ire. "I assume you two are the ones who have been leaving me 'presents' all over Bangkok?" He stepped inside, followed shortly by a handful of security officers, and frowned when he got a better look at Sigma. "I know you..."
Sigma smiled quietly. "We've met."
The Warden looked him over slowly, a slight frown creasing his brow, then his brown eyes cleared in surprise. "The Authority... Lieutenant-Commander...?"
"Sigma, and I'm retired."
Snorting, the Warden rolled his eyes and cast his gaze briefly around at the unconscious bodies littering the floor. "If you're retired, then I'm a Lurian dancing girl."
Tau Ceti snickered quietly. Sigma chuckled. "Old habits die hard?" he offered.
"Where's your bikini and bodypaint?" Tau added impishly, laughing when the man glared at him.
"Nothing but trouble," the Warden muttered. "Both of you." He frowned again. "So how did a retired Auth stumble across Soul dealers anyway?" he asked.
Sigma shrugged. "They picked a fight. They lost."
"Hmm." The Warden stepped around them to peer down the trap door, grimacing, then he straightened as his in-lens flashed. "What the..." As Sigma and Tau Ceti looked at him curiously, the man grimaced. "First the break-in, then the Soul dealers, and now lunatics shooting porn vids in the streets... what next?"
Sigma exchanged a glance with his lover. "One of them wouldn't happen to be a Draconis, would it?" he asked carefully.
"And an ugly Hellcat," Tau Ceti added.
The Warden shot them a startled look, then he merely looked resigned. "Friends of yours?"
"Something like that," Sigma agreed, laughing softly.
Tau Ceti grinned. "If it helps," he offered, "You only have to put up with us for six more days."
The man stared flatly at him. "Only?"
Tau Ceti laughed.
"Sixty-seven, sixty-eight, sixty-nine!" Meiki beamed brightly and set down his data pane. "Sixty-nine."
Xalin smiled, shaking his head slowly. "You think we can fit sixty-nine offers into a one-week vacation?"
Q'inn snorted and sipped his Kreskan brandy. "Maybe, maybe not, but I'm sure we'll give our best shot, won't we?" He eyed Meiki pointedly, who grinned.
"Well what's the point of collecting numbers if you don't use them?" the Draconis asked, winking, and scooted closer to Q'inn. "Waste of good contact numbers." He purred as Q'inn began petting him.
"And we don't get back to Bangkok very often," Xalin pointed out, "So we do have to use them while we have the opportunity." He sipped his wine to hide a smile.
"Still, sixty-nine? That's a bit much even for us. Maybe we should invite them in groups..." Q'inn mused.
Xalin considered. "That's actually a good idea..."
Meiki, who had been all but a puddle of blissful Draconis in Q'inn's lap, suddenly shot up and stared at something on the far side of the room. The other two blinked and followed his gaze, their own eyes widening.
"Ohh..." Meiki breathed, "Pretty..."
Three persons had just entered, all breathtakingly handsome. Two were identical in every way, pale of skin and dark of hair. The third was just slightly shorter with beautiful blond hair. It seemed as though half the room had ceased in what it had been doing to stare, awestruck, at the new arrivals, then there was a slight shifting and-
Xalin made a grab for Meiki moments too late as the Draconis leapt out of his chair and went bolting across the room in an unerring line toward the objects of his intense fascination. Xalin exchanged a brief, resigned look with Q'inn, then they too were up and away, following after their hyperactive lover.
They were just close enough to hear Meiki's initial greeting, which was predictably, "Pretty, pretty, and pretty!" Xalin winced, muttering softly to Q'inn, "Fifty points says he has no idea who they are."
"No bet," Q'inn shot back. "It's Meiki."
The twin Lords of Bangkok and their lover seemed rather taken aback, uncertain how to handle their one-Draconis drooling fanclub. As soon as he was within reach Xalin reached out and dragged Meiki back and away from where he'd been petting the nearest twin's hair, wrapping all four arms around him to hold him tight. "Sorry about that," he offered. "Meiki has a fetish for pretty things."
"Can't fault him for having good taste," Q'inn observed, eyes roaming freely over the three, tail twitching back and forth in pleasure.
One of the twins laughed and graced the starry-eyed Draconis with an easy smile. "Well, thank you for the compliment, then. It's an honor." He winked.
Meiki practically melted again before twisting around to whine, "Xalliinnn... can we keep them? Or at least play with them? One night? Please?"
"It helps if you ask the pretties if they want to be played with, Meiki," Q'inn pointed out, laughter thick in his voice.
The Draconis looked bewildered as his gaze shifted over to the Hellcat. "Why wouldn't they?" he asked. "Everybody wants to play with us..."
While the lovely blond colored, the twins exchanged identical amused glances. "Everyone, hmm?" one commented. "I believe we heard about you... something about public indecency?"
Meiki grinned. "That was fun. But we don't hafta play in public with you, prettypretty. We can find a room or go back to the ship. We have a nice big bed on the ship. Tau Ceti gave it to me for my birthday."
The other twin blinked. "Tau Ceti? The Gremlin?" He and his brother did that odd mirror-image look again and Xalin shifted a bit so that Meiki was covering the growing bulge in his pants. "What are you doing with Tau Ceti?"
"He's our Engineer," Meiki proclaimed proudly. "Sometimes he's really nasty and you hafta hide but other times he's really nice and then we play games and watch vid-films and you could watch with us after we play or maybe before because roleplay is always fun and one of you could play the Evil Villain and the oth-mmmf."
Xalin readjusted his grip so he could hang onto the slippery Draconis with three arms and still keep his mouth covered. "Anything he says that you object to, we apologize in advance."
"If you're curious about Tau Ceti," Q'inn purred, "You could always come back to the ship and meet him..." He grinned, exposing sharper-than-human teeth. "Then play with us once he's blown you off like usual."
"I hadn't realized Pyotr's pet Gremlin had left Zero..." one of the twins mused thoughtfully.
Meiki flailed, managing to dislodge Xalin's hand enough to get out, "You know the Princess? Have you slept with him? I wanna know what he looks like under those pants!"
The poor blond man's face flushed scarlet even as the twins laughed almost in unison. "No, we haven't. Our paths don't cross all that often." They grinned.
"Damn." Meiki sighed, leaning back against Xalin and radiating disappointment for a moment before perking back up again. "So, do you wanna come back to the ship and play with us? Please?"
The twins smiled. "Unfortunately we do have prior engagements, but we hope you enjoy your evening anyway."
Meiki sighed again, then looked equal parts thoughtful and anticipatory. "Can I have kisses then? For remembering?" he asked hopefully.
The smiles gentled and one of the twins reached out to pet his hair. "Sorry, little one. We only kiss one person now." He slipped an arm around the pretty blond man's waist.
Meiki considered. "Can I kiss him?" he asked curiously.
"I'll kiss you, Meiki," Q'inn said, petting what parts Xalin's arms aren't encircling.
"No, he's ours." The twin winked, then his smile spread slowly and he glanced at his brother. The other twin laughed softly, then yanked the blond into his arms and kissed him soundly. Meiki stared. The twin released the pretty blond to his brother, who also kissed him, then both twins winked as they kissed each other.
Meiki whimpered softly, clutching tightly at Xalin's arms. The twins broke apart, matching grins on their faces, then one asked, "Well?"
"I need to change my pants now," Meiki whimpered, still wide-eyed.
"You're not the only one," Q'inn muttered, staring as well. "I don't think I'm ever going to forget that." He paused, then blinked and looked around at the gaping people watching them. "Hey, did anyone get that on camera? Name your price."
There were a few who spoke up and Q'inn made his way around to exchange point cards for pictures, waving enthusiastically at Xalin after a few moments. "Hey, this one got it on video!"
"Mmm...." Meiki murmured appreciatively, then blinked as he noticed just how crimson-faced the twins' poor blond companion had gotten. He smiled warmly and twisted right out of Xalin's arms, much to the Medic's surprise, and stepped up to pet the blond man reassuringly on the head. "Don't worry," he said softly. "Everyone's staring because they're jealous. Just remember that you have what everyone else wants, and it makes every day that much more fun."
"Um." The blush didn't seem inclined to go away any time soon.
Meiki giggled, then gently kissed his cheek. "Actually, that's only half true. Some of them want to be you, the rest of them just plain want you. Yummy." Petting the blond man's hair one more time, Meiki skipped back to Xalin and Q'inn and called out over his shoulder, "If you change your mind, look for us on the Ice Princess!"
Sharing bemused smiles and silently mouthed apologies, Q'inn and Xalin escorted their excitable lover out of the building and back to the ship where all three of them could get a clean change of clothes. Eventually.
Ekaitz settled into his chair with a contented smile, feeling utterly relaxed after the ship's week long vacation on Bangkok. He'd gotten to see the pools, and the aquarium, and spend entire uninterrupted days with Jei. It had been wonderful. From what he'd been hearing it sounded like everyone else had enjoyed themselves just as much, so maybe they'd actually have a little peace and quiet on deck for a while.
"Captain, Princess is calling."
Or maybe not. Ekaitz sighed. "Put him up." He waited until the familiar handsome face of Pyotr Kavalerov filled the screen, then nodded. "High Chancellor."
Kavalerov ran a hand through his hair. "Captain Kai. Did you enjoy your vacation?"
Ekaitz blinked, then smiled. "Yes, sir. It was very relaxing. Thank you."
"If you can," Kavalerov sighed, "Next time Tau takes it into his head to have a ship-wide vacation, see if you can't convince him to hold it somewhere none of you can try to start an inter-galactic incident."
"Sir?" Ekaitz blinked again.
"Check the news broadcasts," Kavalerov suggested dryly. "I just got off a call with Bangkok's owners."
Ekaitz paled. "I don't want to know, do I?"
"Probably not," Kavalerov admitted, "They listen to you about as well as they listen to me, but you're a lot closer. With a little luck, you might actually be able to keep them under control next time."
"But..." Ekaitz stared. "Surely Sigma..."
"Tau has had an interesting influence on Sigma Altair," Kavalerov snorted softly. "You might ask him about his vacation sometime."
Groping blindly for the bottle of water that sat by his chair at all times, Ekaitz popped the lid and downed half of it before shaking his head. "Sir, I will do my best, but..."
"Your best is all we can hope for, Captain Kai. Sanity is not something that the Ice Princess has much use for." Kavalerov closed his eyes a moment, then was abruptly all business. "Now then, your next mission..."
A drabble that turned into a ten-page ficbit. x.x; I have got to quit doing that...

Hehe. It's all a day's work for Sigma and Tau: breaking up illegal drug dealing rings, beating up unscrupulous thugs. . . Giving Pyotr more gray hair. :D

Xalin contemplated, then shrugged cheerfully. "It is Bangkok. They'd probably tip us."
And then them propositioning the Jewels... -smirks- They reacted fairly calmly, though. Guess it happens occasionally.
Poor Ekaitz. He must have some adventures with them.

My fav line. Though I bet that's infringement of copyright. Or if it isn't, the Princess might want to get a copyright on that smile :D
