I... huh. o.o I finished the final bonus drabble for the Dragon Isles book. That brings the total number of pages in the book to 308. @.@ Wow.

Now... now all I need is a cover (wince) and I can put the book up on Lulu. I started trying to sketch out what I want, but I don't have very high hopes for it winding up good enough to be a book cover. People I can draw. Three masted sailing ships I cannot. x.x

Still, I'm rather proud of myself. I wasn't sure I'd be able to write Red Dragon smut, given how violent they tend to be with each other. >.>; But I think it turned out okay. I'll know for sure when Mem gives it a looksee and checks for Stupid Kitty Typos. ^^;

Hmm... now what do I write...

Oooh, a cover! I don't make enough off the books to pay for stock photos, sadly. :( If I did I'd pay for a commission for the idea I want.

istockphoto costs about $5 a pop though so it's rather inexpensive in some cases. And if not ships, veer has some examples of pretty emblems which perhaps could be used around the words "The Dragon Isles" here (http://www.veer.com/search/results.aspx?keyword=emblem&producttype=ILL&pricemodel=RM%2CRF). THeir ship pics Their ship pics (e.g. here (http://www.veer.com/products/detail.aspx?image=SSI0017097) or here (http://www.veer.com/products/detail.aspx?image=AYI0200850)) are insanely expensive though.

Personally, I tend to find an image I really like online and then manip/redraw it in photoshop/illustrator to match my specific needs. In the end, it doesn't look much like the original XD

That's pretty much what I wound up doing, only I made my roommate do the actual drawing because Illustrator hates my guts. x.x So I have the ship... now I just need to add the dragon and mer-tail bits. ^.^

Since I just watched Kung Fu Panda, all I can think of are cute creatures that can talk and kick ass. Hmm, that applies to pretty much anything come to think of it, including people O_O

The biggest problem is that I'm kind of picky about my ship and nothing I've seen so far has been suitable. :/ So if I can't manage to somehow draw it (or get someone to draw it) from the elements I like, I'll probably just wind up using a photograph of the sea that my mother took.

By the way, is this book also including the Azure series cause aren't they set in the same general universe. If it is even more awesome than it would be if it was not, and it is still awesome as the Dragon Isles book is some very good original gay fiction.

Yes, The Azure and Azure Seas are included. :) One of the bonus drabbles is from the Azure stories as well. ^.^

Yea exciteing! I haven't had internet for like a week! I get back and see this. Now all I gotta do is wait till it's up so I can buy it... I know I hid that paitience some where. *looks around for it*
