That was so good - like Conall I missed the 'thank you' at first. It is just so automatic, isn't it? We must all say it dozens of times a day without hearing ourselves (or really meaning it, most of the time). Beautiful story and I'm glad you didn't make Niven stick to the letter of his rules!
