Angel slash
Jun. 22nd, 2010 11:51 amSo, randomly watching trailers I stumbled across Legion, which looked like it might have pretty wings in it. It does, but the pretty wings are about the only good part. x_x
One of the things that popped up while I was contemplating Legion was one of those "If you liked that you might like this" things, for a movie called Gabriel. Okay, I'll bite.
It was an interesting movie, and there were some things that I really liked, but the grand finale was... less than grand. It kind of left me going "... so, what was the point of the whole rest of the movie, then?" x_x and of course the token female angel is the one Gabriel falls for, despite the rather promising bit in the beginning where he calls Uriel 'she' before getting corrected, leading to the implication that the angels only get a gender once they get a human body. Lots of promise there, only... not.
Maybe it would make more sense if I was a religious person. Mem? You seen this one? Anyone else who can explain the symbolism and references that probably went right over my head?
The brotherlove hintings between Gabriel and Michael were nice, right up until the end and the fizzling of said end.
And there were no wings. I sulk. (Pretty eye effects though)
So... I'm feeling the need for some angel-slash. Archangel, regular, boy-with-wings... toss me some recs. Non-depressing ones, please. Got enough of that from the stupid movie. -__-
I think I'll go read Alice's At World's End. That one did angels very nicely. <3
