Dollie Camping Trip
Aug. 4th, 2009 09:22 amWent camping this weekend with five other dollie people. Twas awesome. Aside from Chelsea's mouth, anyway. x.x Really, you don't need to swear every other sentence. *sigh*
But got to meet a new dollie person! She's from Utah and in the area visiting her sister. ^__^ She had an Iplehouse EID Evan which of course we all molested, but I think he also cemented in our minds that we don't want one. He's gorgeous, of course, but he poses awful. His ankles may as well be fused for all the poseability they have, his knees do this weird thing and unlock all the time so he doesn't stand well, his hips aren't too bad, but he's still way less poseable than any other doll I've ever messed with. Heck, I think he's even less poseable than Blue with his awful ResinSoul body. x.x
So, yeah. Iplehouse makes gorgeous sculpts, but completely impractical jointing.

It was a lot of fun, despite the sunburn. Rishi got hir whole upper shoulders burned, and Kris got the back of her neck. >.o We roasted hot dogs and sausages over a campfire, I accidentally froze eggs and made them explode with some dry ice, the bugs weren't actually as bad as they could have been, the outhouse was awful but I'd brought my respirator to potentially do some dolly-painting so I just wore that to the potty and blissfully couldn't smell a thing.
Toward the afternoon of day two we were discussing Buff's "optional parts" and the fact that they aren't sized for the boys we have, so I got out the sculpey I'd brought and made sculpey peens for Kris's Hajime and Rishi's Token. *beam* When we headed back to my place later on for showers, I baked them. *snicker* Here's Hajime enjoying his, and Tian and Token trying out Token's. ^_____^ NSFW, obviously.
It really was an awesome trip. We're totally going to have to do it again next year when Kris comes out to visit her sister again. ^.^
