cobecat's place to snag her, met her dad this time, and off we went to the con. Was rather proud of myself for only getting lost once trying to find her house. Portland is so confusing, and I swear my GPS is on crack in that city. >.>;
Got to the con, a little late still, but that turned out to be a good thing because there was no line to get badges. Played phone tag until we managed to find Jessie's room, and then it was introductions all around. Whee. ^_^ Jessie, as an aside, is someone I've known since the first grade. Her grandparents lived next door to the house I grew up in, so, yeah. ^.^
Jess had Sarah, Jackie, and Kate with her, though I barely saw those three as they were constantly changing costumes and running off to tea parties and photoshoots. ^^;; The rest of us wandered around taking pictures of cosplayers and attempting not to spend too much money in the dealer's room. *sweatdrop* Not sure how well we succeeded. I got a plushie dragon though! He's adorable. <3 Cobecat got mostly artwork, and Mikey picked up some Final Fantasy figures.
It was fun. Way smaller than the first (and only) con I've ever gone to (Anime Expo) but still fun. Really, 90% of what's interesting at cons, for me, is the cosplayers. So I was perfectly peachy. ^.^ Mikey decided that next year we have to dress up. Whee! I've managed to talk him into doing Zoisite & Kunzite, and if Cobecat comes again she said she'll do Nephrite. Which still leaves us short a shitennou, but oh well. ^^; He's also going to make Cid and Vincent. That should be fun, because he wants to play Vincent, and usually when people do Cid & Vincent, the girl plays Vincent and the guy plays Cid. *grin* Ah, gender confusion is fun. Not quite sure what we'd sucker Cobecat into yet, but Mikey's thinking Advent Children Tifa, because he likes her AC outfit better than her game outfit. ^^v
Pictures to follow sometime this afternoon, because I have to work today and have no time this morning to resize them all down to something less ginormous. ^^;
Oh oh oh! But! I saw Jem and Pizzaz cosplayers! From Jem and the Holograms! ^______^ Hee.
