Ugh.

Weeds: Ten Billion and Three

I have (mostly) managed to weed the nasty ugly tacky mess that was our front Iris bed, but in the process my brand new trowel did not survive the first encounter with The Enemy. >.> The enemy being a weed with an inch-thick taproot that went down at least half a foot (half a foot being when I stopped digging) without narrowing a bit. x.x Ugh.

So, when I pick up a new (and stronger) trowel at work, I think I'll also have to invest in a sharp-pointed shovel for to indulge in weed-genocide. :P Stupid weeds.

The sad part is, I'm probably the only one who a) noticed the problem, b) cared about the problem, c) did anything about the problem, and d) will even notice that the problem is gone. *siiiigh*

I do think I seriously need to thin out those irises though. There's barely any bare dirt showing underneath the mass of iris bulbs. o.@;; Wonder how one goes about doing that without killing the poor things.... 9.9
