Jan. 21st, 2008 08:15 pmMerf. Wanted to read through Trevor's story again and proof it so Meg could post tomorrow, but I got all of half a page in and realized the letters were kinda wandering aimlessly across the screen... *le sulk*
Today I hurt myself a lot. *brandishes papercuts and shin-bruises* Then I came home to attempt round two of the great tofu experiment. *nod* See, sometime last week I attempted to make baked tofu, only the recipe I found was obviously by someone with a sense of humor and really, if a recipe says "yes, really this much" then warning bells should so be going off... x.x
So, after successfully ruining an entire block of tofu, I re-scoured the 'net for more recipes (that don't include frying because oil is unhealthy and hazardous when it's me in the kitchen) and finally one took pity on me and pointed out that you can marinade the suckers in practically anything and then bake them. It gave some suggestions such as bbq sauce and, ooh, sweet & sour sauce. ^^ So I picked up some sweet and sour sauce, marinated the suckers overnight, baked them on tinfoil, and ta-daa! S&S flavored tofu bites! Yummy. ^___^
>.> One thing I did learn, however, is that it is important to non-sticking-spray the tinfoil before baking cause those suckers do NOT want to come off. ^^; Eheheheh...
30ish mins at 400 F on a baking sheet, if you're interested.
Also made Hamburger Pie for dinner. Mmmm, yummy. Lessie, where's mom's recipe... ah.
( Hamburger Pie )
... I didn't get squat done for writing today. I failz0r. x.x ... well, no, that's not entirely true. I did get a tiny bit done a lunch but it's not worth showing anyone. Bah. x.x
