Twins, Chainsaws, and Power Equipment
Aug. 30th, 2007 02:31 pmRegarding Work.
So, last week-ish, a lady came out of the garden center with a cart filled with three chainsaws. I boggled, but said nothing. Later, she took the chainsaws back to garden, and noticed the boggling, and explained she was one of the advertising ladies for the store and was taking pictures of the chainsaws for that purpose. Ahhh. Gotcha. So, the next day, I see her coming out of the garden center with a couple small things (oil can?) and quip "What, no chainsaws?" and she laughed and said she took care of those yesterday. Hour or so later she's back, and I'm all "Forget something?" and she grins kinda sheepishly and goes "Yeah, a chainsaw!" ^__________^ Hee.
Then, both a couple days ago and this morning, I got a head-spinny moment. Remember how I said my boss is a twin and his twin works in the same store just a different department? Well, I've been kinda watching them for a while trying to figure out the differences so I don't mix them up. When they're together, I watch more so I can compare. But usually when they're together they're sitting. Not so these two times. They're standing and talking with other people, and then apparently talk-time is over because they both start moving... at the same time... in exactly the same casual manner. It's eerie to watch. And it always makes me think of
maderr's Jewels of Bangkok. Cause... yeah. Woah. It's cool, but it's also Really Weird. ^^;;
And today I got trained on power equipment! ^__^ Well, most of it. Still don't get to drive the forklift. *pout* But that's apparently a whole separate class-thing. BUT! I can use the electric pallet jack, the platform lift, and the workforce something-er-other. >.> ^^; The platform lift is the thing Howard in paint is always using. It's cool. The workforce is like a smaller platform, and way jerkier. x.x Ugh. My head felt like it was going to rattle right off my spine.
Aaaand...
mechante_fille is visiting
maderr and
starparty and I am feeling very alone and deprived because my usual pester-buddies are not around! *whine*
nikerymksherea's gonna have to keep me company all on her own! ^^; and maybe some pudding to drown my sorrows. >.> Yeah, that sounds good... ^___^
