I has a package from France! ^__^ *luvs on [livejournal.com profile] koneikaa66*

It endlessly amuses me when part of my ancient French lessons will come to the fore. I was eying the customs label and of the three things listed only one could I understand - crayons. But crayons, in French, means pencils. I cannot for the life of me remember what crayons are called... 9.9

It does make me wonder, though, wtf Canada does. I mean, if Quebec calls them crayons and everywhere else calls them pencils then... how do they package stuff like crayons and pencils? o.o; Wouldn't it confuse someone if they picked up one while expecting to get the other? Hmm...

I also got a package of Grandma's old doll-making stuff. *___* She had eye sizers. I was so totally eying those on Luts' site... *squee* No clue how to use them, but oh it looks like fun. She's also got these things that she has labeled as 'finger tool' but it's like... a pointy spike that's all rough at the end. o.o I'm guessing maybe it's for finger separation...?

Also, Fred Meyer/Kreuger eggnog has a weird sort of sharp aftertaste. WinCo eggnog is much better. I really wish they'd bloody restock already. :P

And in work news, I am somewhat... amused and baffled that not only does the rest of my store defer to me when it comes to 'weird' light bulbs, but now I have our other store calling me for lightbulb identification! @.@ What's scary is I can do it over the phone...
