Blah. I almost want to buy something online just so I'll have mail that's not bills or junk. x.x Sometimes I don't bother to check it for days, because it's always just more of the same. *le sigh*

My allergies are also going haywire. x.x; The natives apparently called this area the "valley of death." Good name. I'm usually only allergic to specific plants in specific areas, but this is city-wide. *ded* I took a Claritin this morning before work and it wore off about two hours ago. So much for a 12 hour pill. :P

Despite the allergies, though, I think I'm going to go spray the lawn to kill the weeds and crabgrass. It's finally sunny enough to do it.

And, my Illustrator-l33t roomie is helping me with the book cover. Win! ^__^

If I knew your address, I'd send you mail that isn't junk! Well, it might be, depending on your point of view, but I wouldn't try to get you to buy something or bill you! Promise! XD

And yes, allergies suck. So do heat headaches. *has one now* It won't go away...T__T

Yay for covers!

*perk* Happy mail from similar-minded fangirls? Always a good thing. ^^

My address is 4285 River Rd, Eugene, OR, 97404. *beam* Letters!

Ugh. Headaches are evil too. I never know what to take for those because the causes can be anything. x.x Although I bet my Pamprin would work. >.> Anything that can kill cramps should have no problem with headaches...

Cool then, I'll write you a nice letter! ^__^ I like writing letters.

I'm generally pretty good at figuring out what my headaches are from, but I guess that's cause my mom knows a lot of really practical stuff and she taught me. Heat headaches are the worst, and the hardest to get rid of. Bleh...XP I'll just lay here and suffer...Pamprin would probably work, but I don't know, I just use aspirin.

Asprin's kinda scary though because of that one disease you can get from it. >.<

*shrugs* I never use it much, actually, mostly I just kinda plow on through whatever it is, and only if it gets to be too much do I take medication. Pain builds character or something.

And you might have to wait a bit. I live in Illinois, so yeah. ^__^ Postal service, for some reason, is not instantaneous.

Heh. I only take the Pamprin once a month, because of the tolerance thing. If I took it for every little thing, then my body would get used to it and then it wouldn't work on the things I really need it for. *nod*

*snerk* Yeah, mail from anywhere east of here tends to take about a week.

Yup. That's why I don't take it that often, plus the whole disease thing...XP Man I wish I could get up and get something, but I just took aspirin plus there's a cat on my lap, so not the best idea.

I know you don't know me very well, so I won't offer this from myself, but I'm sure you've got plenty of people on here who'd be happy to start mail exchange if you dropped an address. I've gotten awesome things from doodles to stories in the mail, and I send out the same.

XD once I was sending a friend a belt I had made for her and I forgot my note--sealed the package without it. So I wrote an entire spiel on the outside of the package, along with a note letting the mailpeople know they had every right to be amused.

(And they didn't end up crumbly?) That is awesome! I like to be creative when I send things out; people will get everything from mini-stories about their earrings (I make a Hibird family for a friend) to care packages containing tea, hot cocoa mix, cinnamon stick, and a cup and saucer XD

Well, some of them did, but Tsaiko said she just licked all the crumbs off the ziplock and they tasted just fine. ^^;

*laugh* You sound like Skylark97 with the care packages. *grin* She sends the most random things sometimes...

The mini-stories one is good, though. M and I were talking a few days ago about these little postcard-size drabbles she made when she was testing her new printer and I thought they'd make awesome trading cards, only my printer is a laser and can't do color. But then I thought maybe I could just print outlines and color the pictures with my colored pencils... 9.9 The more I think about it, the more I want to do it. ^^; I'd have to get some heavier paper stock though. Hmmm....

XD that's one way to do it!

I'm not even that random. I've got another friend, Riona, who gets things from other people all the time and makes post about it--she once got a package that just contained a bunch of tiny plastic frogs. For no reason. The sender just figured that she would greatly benefit from owning tiny plastic frogs. (I guess it was a good assumption too, because Riona then posted about how she spent the next halfhour playing with them.)

That. Is an awesome idea. They could be mini drabbles, or even character profiles, or something. And B&W should be fine as well, as long as you don't mind it; it just seems like hand coloring each would take a while. But still, that sounds like such a cool idea! XD it could be the start of a new thing! Make a community.

Ooh, frogs. I had two little bitty rubbery frogs once... they used to sit on top of my monitor, but I think they fell off. >.> Hmm... maybe they're wherever my marbles went...

Hee. I have Presented the Idea to the Squeeing Public. *beam* You may be right about the B&W... I'm already sorta wincing at how much I'm going to end up drawing. That's very much the hard part. x.x; The first picture I breezed through, but the second one was a pain and a half. x_x Note to self, no more multiple character pictures, regardless of request.

I noticed! I confess to now being one of the squeeing public. Or at least, one of the capslocking public. And chibis can be just as cute B&W as in color--just maybe figure out how you'd want your outlines to work. Or maybe you can have a "color the trading card" contest XD

Iceland? o.o Oh, wow. And brr. ^^ But mostly wow.

It's kind of amusing that the first thing I associate with Iceland is Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth. *headshake* My brain is weird.

I would love Icelandic candy. Especially if it's written in Icelandic. *massive language geek* When I was younger I had a collection of candy bar wrappers printed in other languages. *sheepish* And somewhere I still have a postcard someone sent me from Russia. *beam* Oh, and my coin collection. I have money from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Iraq. *nod* My grandparents got me started on that. ^^;

I've got a book that linchan sent from Finland that's in Finnish. Don't understand a word but it sure looks cool! *sheepish*

(You work in a post office? x.x And you're still sane?)

Yeah, according to Verne the entrance to the center of the Earth is the volcanic crater of Snæfellsjökull (it's a glacier, jökull=glacier) XP I went up there once. Unfortunately as far as I could tell...no entrance to the center of the Earth. Some people also believe it's where some aliens are either supposed to come to Earth or already have. We also have this place called Dimmuborgir (dark cities) which people once believe was the entrance to hell. *laughs*

I love languages too. I took one year of Linguistics in University before switching to Geography. Not because I didn't like what I was learning, but because I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do with a degree in Linguistics.

I'm more than willing to send you some stuff if you want. I just found out that I won this court case thing and I'm going to get lots of money! :D

The post office is incredibly nice because I work with awesome people. It's just for two months before I go back to school though so I'll get to quit before it kills me. :P

Oh man, those would be awesome places to visit. ^___^ I've heard that Iceland is absolutely beautiful. (And the hidden underground world thing just so tickles my fancy. Maybe it'll warp itself into a story some day...)

o.o; So, uh, what do you do with a degree in Geography? >.> I was always lousy at geography. Can't even identify all the states in my own country. -__-; Plus, half of Europe can't seem to make up its mind what it should look like, so the minute I finally get those sorted out they'll rearrange countries again. x_X

Oh, go you! Winning a court case is always a relief, I think. Especially around here, because the courts too often decide in favor of the Stupid/Loud/Rich one rather than the person who's right. :P

Ahhh, short-term insanity. I can understand that. :) Especially if post offices in Iceland pay as well as post offices in the USA.

I haven't been to Dimmuborgir yet, but I'm going this summer. :P Iceland is beautiful but it's a little different. A bit part of the country is just a desert but it's beautiful in its own way.

Geography isn't really about knowing all the countries. :) I'm learning some Geology and all sorts of things about nature, the weather. All in a sort of global way, like global weather and how the world is divided into different climate areas and such. We also learn demographics, cartography and human geo which is about how people live, where, why they move, how they interact with nature and each other, development and all sorts of other things.

I'm focusing more on the human geo aspect instead of the natural geo one. I'm also taking some sociology and once I'm done I'm also going to get a BA in Anthropology. I'm a little crazy.

It was a compensation thing for a small accident I had at work in 2003. It's finally over now and I'm getting paid. It went all the way to the supreme court. I'm mostly just happy it's finally over.

My pay at the post office is pretty good, but I think it's mostly because I'm a University student and that's always worth something. :)
