Brownies!!! *geeky flail-dance of joy* This was AWESOME.
I love Conall--his rapport with animals, and how he was totally oblivious about his own fae heritage, and then his reaction to finding out...The image of somebody suddenly sprouting pointy ears is both amusing and horrifying.
And Niven's adorable! I love how his knife flotilla included the plastic cutlery, too--very thorough. When Conall accidentally thanked him--ouch. I like how he followed all the traditions to a point, but was ultimately willing to bend the rules a bit, and the kissing at the end was lovely.
And of course, I love this part: "They didn't touch them, of course, who knows what might be in them, but still! Brownies. How strange. Who does that?" Heh. Who indeed? *shifty eyes*
